Readymag users for

employees and students at Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design use Readymag’s online website editor for a variety of purposes. Since 2014, the tool has been integrated into most activities, helping the Institute design and deliver websites and creative campaigns that drive results, build awareness and win awards.

What is Strelka Institute?

Located in Moscow, Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design is an international non-profit with an experimental approach to education. Strelka incorporates multidisciplinary postgraduate programs in urban environment, a public summer program, a publishing program, and an own home-grown media. The overall goal of these ventures is to change the cultural and physical landscapes of Russian cities.

Why did they choose Readymag as an online website editor?

In 2014, Strelka students returned from a field trip to the Volga region; they wanted to create a website online to present their findings. Back then, the Institute had only one developer who kept busy maintaining the institute’s main website. One of the student designers offered to try Readymag, and successfully delivered their project with it. Later, other Strelka researchers valued the creative freedom of Readymag and started picking it for their projects. Over the years, the Institute developed more and more activities that demanded standalone pages. Readymag looked like the best solution for quick and easy web design, so it was gradually integrated into the design department’s workflow.

Сase: landing page for educational program

The Terraforming is a three-year postgraduate multidisciplinary program. Initially, Strelka employees wanted to make a one-pager with information about the coursework and an application form. It was transformed into a full-fledged website later, with extra information about the curriculum, the students and their projects. The program has been underway for one year, and over the next two years the website will be updated.

Our design department tends to act independently from the IT development and produce most landing pages with Readymag. Integration with the Institute’s main website is seamless.
— Anna Yemets, design team manager at the Strelka Institute
