Hi, my name is Jay Powell. I’m a photographer from New York City. I specialize in portrait photography, landscapes, and still lifes.
I was born in Manhattan to a family of photographers in 1995 and took my first photo at the age of three. I’ve pursued my passion for photography ever since, graduating from the New York School of Visual Arts in 2014.
Since then I’ve shot for a number of fashion and lifestyle magazines, including New York Review of Reviews, Architecture, Fashion Biweekly Digest and Binoculars.
I think my greatest strength as a photographer is my ability to uncover stories hidden in the human face and in landscapes.
