Use this checklist before publishing websites made with Readymag. It will help you make sure that your project is indexed by search engines, does not break the law, and is accessible to a wider audience.
1. Privacy, SEO & social sharing
Decide where to store your project
To begin, you need to choose where to keep your project. If it is a work created for someone else, decide whether you want to store in your account or transfer to your client. We offer some advice on the subject here.
Set your project visibility
Сlick the gear icon at the lower-right corner of the Editor page and proceed to Project Settings. Here you can make the project visible to search engines (which means it will be publicly available when published) or set a password for private sharing. From here you can also choose to submit your work to Readymag’s Examples page and your public Readymag profile. If your project is intended to be private, skip this section and proceed to the Mechanics section below’.
Switch on SEO indexing
Access the Pages menu, then click on the gear icon on the snippet of the first page. This will load your ‘Page SEO’, where you can click the ‘make searchable’ toggle if you want to allow SEO indexing. You can also enter a project title, description, and keywords—they will display when searching for or sharing your project. Next, repeat for other pages you’d like to include.
