educating and inspiring

Readymag has carried out inspirational projects covering many aspects of design: Enso Magazine explores creativity in our lives, while Stories are dedicated to influential professionals who set direction for the industry. Readymag also eagerly collaborates with museums and cultural institutions. Our Symbols of the Thaw longread was created in partnership with the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art and tells the stories of three underestimated Moscow modernist buildings. The Russian Spleen longread was a collaboration with the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center, while the Lubalin 100 project was based on materials from the Lubalin Center to celebrate the centenary of designer Herb Lubalin.

we decided to view the role of women in design from a variety of angles. we did new research, interviewed designers, and then structured the information we’d gathered into designing women. i believe information based on facts, statistics, and real input from design theorists and practitioners is the best basis for further discussion and positive change. —diana kasay, readymag co-founder and ceo

inducing change

As a sustainable business, Readymag strives to promote positive social change. In a bid to challenge the gender imbalance in design and support a productive public discussion, in 2019 the Readymag team rolled out Designing Women—an international project highlighting women’s impact on the industry. The project explores the status of women in design, telling the stories of trail-blazing female designers and showcasing their key works. In addition, it offers a bunch of extra resources for self-study.
