CAPTURE THE CITIES PULSE WITH SPOKEN WORD
Nike approached us to create a bespoke visual piece on Chicago that told individual stories from across the city, whilst simultaneously showing how we are all connected, for their iconic Nike Air Force 1 shoe. We found authentic groups of people from each side of town and tapped into the heart of Chicago’s cultural nuances unlike any other Nike spot before.
This spot represents the multicultural diversity and the beauty of the city’s many people, perspectives and cultures. Spoken-word poet Malcolm London delivered a compelling piece calling out each side (East, West, South, and North). Using the visual trick of match-cutting, we transitioned through the AF1 shoe itself to showcase the uniqueness of each side of Chicago. The widespread impact of this spot helped position Nike Chicago as a company that understands, and is part of, the city.
